Neighbourhood

Allenby is an established uptown neighbourhood surrounded by tree-lined streets. It’s a popular choice for young families who enjoy the areas close proximity to shops and service, recreational activities, parks as well as excellent schools.

History

Most of the homes in Allenby were built in the 1930’s and 1940’s and are typically brick houses in the Tudor style with a side hall design. There was once a large mixture of bungalows as well as two storey homes, however many of the smaller houses have been expanded on so there are larger homes now. Residents have been considerate to maintain the original charm and character in the homes when they have undergone extensive renovations so the area maintains its original style and charm while families get to enjoy newer and larger houses.
